Luanda to Ohio: A Family Journey reflects a unique perspective from within the Foreign Service community. The photo essay chronicles Monica’s journey home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Blending documentary storytelling with intimate family moments, the photographs document both the physical journey across borders and the emotional reality of separation.
Monica’s Santa Experience Christmas photos earned the cover and a seven-page interior spread in Elegant Island Living magazine. Selected from her portrait work from that season of her career, the feature highlighted her timeless approach to holiday photography, emphasizing warmth, tradition, and family connection.
