Hi, I’m Monica!

I am a documentary photographer, children’s book author, and artist based in Youngstown, Ohio.

Following my husband’s career overseas gave me a front-row seat to cultures and communities around the world. The more I traveled, the more I noticed our differences and, more often than not, our similarities.

Those similarities have guided my work for more than 20 years and continue to inspire me. I invite you to share my curiosity about stories rooted in real people and real places, which I like to call “small stories with big hearts.”
