Building Puentes Across Naciones
Monica was invited to participate in a binational art exhibition, Building Puentes Across Naciones, in Nogales, Sonora, in collaboration with the U.S. Consulate Nogales and hosted by Consul General Christopher Teal. Her work was featured during a public demonstration advocating for fairness and human rights during the first Trump administration.

Monica’s Santa Experience Christmas Photos were featured in Elegant Island Living Magazine
(December 2018 — Cover + pp. 21–38), earning the cover and a seven-page interior spread. The feature showcased her timeless holiday portrait work.

(July–August 2020 — pp. 45-48) documents her family’s journey from Angola back to the United States at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The work offers a firsthand visual account of uncertainty, displacement, and resilience during a moment of global upheaval, seen through the intimate lens of lived experience.
