EXHIBITION

Nogales-Exhibition-03b.jpg

On May 1, 2017 a series of May Day demonstrations took place in several U.S. cities and around the globe. Rallies were used to highlight worker's rights as well a protest against President Donald Trump's immigration policies. I was in the DC area visiting family, and decided to document our local event. Shortly after my return to Nogales, Sonora, I was invited to feature my work at the U.S. Consulate Nogales's binational art exhibit, Building Puentes Across Naciones. The event took place at Museo de Arte de Nogales, and featured works from 52 artists on both sides of the border. Words cannot describe what an honor is was to participate, and have my work prominently featured. Above are the eight chosen by Consul General, Christopher Teal, and below are more from the May Day event.
